Always great! Dr. Mufson has taken care of my cardiac issues for almost 10 years. Years 9 and 10, my heart has finally improved. The damage is still there, but my ejection fraction has improved from 35 to 40 all the way to 50 to 55. I am now stable heart failure from congestive heart failure. Which I never expected. Dr. Mufson never makes me feel rushed. He takes the time to listen. I feel it’s important that you develop a relationship with your doctor. It should be a two-way street which is what I have with him. One thing always impresses me is that we don’t see each other for six months but when we get together, it seems like I was just there a week ago and yes, there is accountability as the patient.. Another thing that always impresses me is when I sit down with him it’s never a why are you here situation we pick up right where we left off his notes are impeccable and we get a lot accomplished in a very short period of time I feel that he actually cares about me as a patient. • Who cannot love a fellow drummer (I’m just a frustrated one) that just happens to be a world class cardiologist? The big guy above looked down on our community and said “Let there be a man who became a doctor who has compassion, a delightful bedside manner, willingness to teach others, a sharp wit (weird laugh, but hey at least he has a sense of humor)”, and put him directly in my path to great cardiac health. The whole bloody Stuart Cardiology Group is just as great. I am a 20yr Army veteran (combat medic) that later had the fortune to become an RN/BSN. I met Dr. Mufson in my ER/ED and was graced with a chance to ask relevant questions to better care for my patients. Unlike some busy, overworked Doc’s that could not be bothered with mere nurses asking questions, this caring cardiologist spent time teaching myself and others how to better care for my patients. Yes, he talks a mile a minute, but its easy to follow, relevant to my care and needed to get thru my thick skull what I need to live just a little bit more.
