Five stars isn’t enough for the care my son received from his orthopedic knee surgeon. From the very first appointment, they treated him with patience, kindness, and real concern. They took the time to explain his knee injury and every step of the treatment so we understood exactly what was happening. My son was nervous going in, but the doctor and the entire team made him feel comfortable and confident. The surgery went well, and his recovery has been going great thanks to their skill and guidance along with my son’s physical therapist team. As a mom, seeing your child in pain is one of the hardest things, but having a doctor who truly cares makes all the difference. I was a patient for many years of Dr Tippetts Sr. He was unequivocally the best Dr I ever had. I did have the opportunity one time for his son to perform a surgery on me and I found then, as now that Sr must be very proud as his son who is also an incredible Dr/surgeon that ensures his patients are aware of the situation, explaining everything in “layman’s” terms while holding his patients in high regard. I now use Dr Tippetts Jr as my primary orthopedic Dr and couldn’t be happier. This Dr has an incredible future ahead of him. I think Dr Tippets is a wonderful doctor. I know many people who have had TKR without good results. I was a bit worried about the pain I would endure. As it turned out the pain I experienced was far less than I anticipated. On several visits to the Anniston Orthopedics Clinic, I experienced minimal waiting time and a very organized and professional receptionist and nursing staff. Dr. Michael D. Tippets consistently showed a deep concern and caring attitude toward my condition. He listens and communicates in a very clear and respectful fashion. He impressed me as a very knowledgeable physician that spends an appropriate amount of time during examination and discussion of the pros and cons of treatment and surgical options. I underwent my hip surgery at RMC in Anniston, Al and I am very well pleased with the attention and care of the staff during my surgery. Dr Michael Tippets performed on me a state of the art Anterior Approach Robot Assisted Right Hip Arthroplasty.( total right hip replacement) The procedure lasted approximately 2 hours , went well with no complications of infection, bleeding and with minimal pain. I am back to work after two weeks of uneventful recovery assisted with physical therapy three times a week. I definitely had a very unexpected great experience with my surgery. Dr. Tippets was friendly, thorough, and professional with each visit. He ordered an MRI which detected my problem. I am doing very well after being treated by him. Great communication when setting up an appointment, managed to get in on the same day. Not a very long wait whatsoever. Very friendly staff, and very good at what they do. In and out in under an hour for something I’d thought would take an afternoon. Dr. Tippets was very kind and knew just what to do to help me out. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
