Dr. Landau performed rotator cuff surgery on me in February and I could not be more pleased with the results. Dr. Landau wanted me to try physical therapy first before considering surgery but after a few months of therapy I was not where I wanted to be. A friend and a family member recommended him to me. I was a little nervous, having been Anna Voytek's patient for 27 years. I am as pleased with him as I was with her. 20 years ago I rolled a tractor-trailer down an embankment and tore a lot of soft tissue, so I live with a lot of pain every day. I am a veteran of knee injections, and so is he. I made it worse by taking a bad fall last week and had to butt-walk out my office into the living room and roll up onto the sofa where my husband could pull me up. I am happy to have Dr. Landau as my orthopedist; I have experience with several doctors and I can tell when they know what they're doing. He certainly does. Dr. Landau has treated my dad (who is in his 70s) twice. The first time, he replaced a bad knee. My dad's surgery was without incident and healed beautifully, and he spoke very highly of his doctor. For that, I was grateful but did not feel motivated to write a review. Then my dad had shoulder issues. His shoulder is, according to all medical professionals who examined it, a mess. Everyone said it needed surgery. Then, Dr. Landau (whose assessment of the shoulder was the same as everyone else's) sat down with my dad for a conversation about pros and cons. He asked lots of questions to assess my dad's current levels of pain and functionality and then presented the options. He indicated recovery time and probable quality of life following surgical intervention. The end result is that Dad postponed the surgery until it would actually improve his quality of life. This decisions doesn't help Dr. Landau or his income at all, but does save my dad trauma that would remove him from his favorite activities for a while without increasing his quality of life. Dr. Landis replaced my knee in July 2016 and in November my hip. I have nothing but good things to say about him. He truly cares about his patients and their pain. I can and will recommend him to anyone that needs this kind of care. The Murphy Wainer team is well run. No long wait times and kind and professional staff. Dr. Landau was very friendly & caring from the very first meeting. He made me feel as if he actually cared about my injury & if I healed properly. I did not feel as if I were being pushed out of his office within a 15 minute time period. He was very knowledgeable yet down to earth, warm & comforting. Dr Landua did a fantastic job on my knee. My knee was swollen and very painful. The office got me in pretty quick. I got x-rays, cortisone shot, and advice on the care of my knee. I'm good to go now. Thanks Dr. Landua
