His friendly and professional demeanor. He greeted me when he first came into the room. He asked me how I been doing. Dr. Kim then conducted various movement and strengthen testing of my shoulder. He question me on my progress and how things been going for me. After the verbal and physical evaluation. He felt from those two things he asked me if the previous shot helped me. I told him it helped a lot. So he had his medical technician come in to give me a shot in my left shoulder. Dr. Kim told me if at a later time I need another shot contact his office to get scheduled. He also gave me another option about my rotator cuff that freeze up on me. He said that would require me to be put under and he would manipulate the shoulder. I’ve been seeing Dr. Kim for about 6 months for a shoulder injury. What stands out is he listens to the issues, clearly discusses with me his findings and his opinion on what he see’s wrong with me. The office is very smoothly run and wait times are very reasonable. Dr. Kim repaired my rotator cuff 5 months ago and it was a very smooth surgery and it healed beautifully but I unfortunately had a trip and fall accident and, you guessed it, tore it again! My son came in for what we thought was a right lateral knee release and a removal of a loose piece of cartilage When he went in for surgery it ended up being a torn meniscus. (Due to the swelling and fluid build up, it wasn’t visible on X-ray) Dr. Kim had someone update me as soon as they went in and found out it was something else. He’s been very attentive and he was great with my son! My son healed up so well and Dr. Kim released him to go back to doing what my son loves most, playing football, wrestling and track and field! The professionalism and the wonderful personality of Dr. Kim. He walks into the room with a pleasant greeting. Then begin to ask questions concerning my well-being. He then begin to exam my shoulder, checking my strength, my range of motion in the various direction. He recommended that I get an injection to help with the pain I get. He also recommend additional weeks of physical therapy. He first ask me if I feel I could do it on my own. I told him I prefer to finish out at the physical therapy facility. Because of being short handed with technicians, Dr. Kim instead of having me waiting for a long period, Dr. Kim gave me the Injection himself. Not many doctors do that. Dr.Kim has done 3 ACL surgeries 1 on my left knee and 2 on my right knee and removed a screw that was backing out. Fast forward 13 years later I found him and went back in to see him for knee pain and weakness in my right knee we do a MRI come to find out I tour my ACL for the 3rd time ( right knee again) I went in today for a shot and I wasn’t scheduled to see him but he came and talk to me cuz he heard me asking questions! My 1st knee surgery I was in 8th grade on my left knee, 2 years later needed one on my right knee, and well the 3rd time Dr.Kim told my I needed to stop playing soccer and I started crying, it was tough for him to tell me but I wouldn’t of listen to anyone else I would of laughed at them! Dr Kim gave me all my options and made sure I understood everything. He told me that he would do the best for my torn rotator cuff. When he got into my shoulder it was worse than expected so he ended up not being able to use the patch but had to use anchors. His staff was wonderful and very caring. I have already referred others to him. I have been to another surgeon in the same practice for my opposite shoulder and refused to go back to him due to his lack of caring. I have had two surgeries performed by Dr. Kim. The first was a complete torn rotator cuff which was sever. I couldn’t move my right arm without terrible pain. The surgery required 5 plastic clips to connect the tendon back together. The surgery was a huge success and I now have full use of my arm without pain. My second surgery was a scope of my left knee for a torn meniscus and the removal of a small bone fragment. That was also a success.
