He's an incredible doctor! As a surgeon, he makes his money by performing surgeries. I have a torn meniscus that many docs would just say let's repair it. He broke it down for me, told me he wouldn't just suggest surgery off the bat, give it some time and see if the pain goes away on its own. This is my second surgery on same right knee ACL. My first one was in 2013 in Colorado, and this one in 2019 December with Dr. Tyler Nathe. I felt really informed with the initial consultation and the options and consequences with each option, even after this being my second surgery. The surgery experience itself was minimally painful with not needing to take pain medications after two days, and with incisions healing with in a week. I’m so Thankful to have Dr. Nathe as my Surgon. I had a bucket handle meniscus tear and he fixed it after being told The was only a small chance of being fixed. I just want to tell you how much we appreciate Dr.Nathe! Dr.Nathe took a personal interest in my dad and was so kind to him. We thought my dad needed a knee replacement and when we came for our consultation Dr.Nathe knew something was not right. He immediately got us into to a Swedish and we discovered my dad had ALS. If it wasn't for Dr.Nathe and his desire to do right by every patient we would never have found that out. Dr Nathe is amazing. The magic man. I'm 43 and my knee was in very bad shape after 3 previous surgeries (ACL/Meniscus, meniscus, meniscus/microfracture) and a lifetime of basketball and other athletics. My outer meniscus had been trimmed away, my femur was near arthritic and missing articular cartilage. Dr Nathe performed an OATs procedure on my femur and a meniscus replacement that has been life changing. 5 months out I have zero pain, I'm running, jump roping, lifting, etc and plan to resume all my normal activities, most importantly activities I do with my family, but I will elect to not play basketball anymore JUST to be on the safe side. Thank you Dr Nathe for your patient, thoughtful consultation as we discussed options, and thank you for doing such a great job with the actual surgery. Dr. Nathe is younger than many doctors (mid 30's) so is familiar with newer procedures and techniques (anterior hip replacement, etc.) He still has great eyesight; as I age, I realize how challenging diminishing eyesight must be for older doctors! I have seen him several times for my knees and have been very impressed with his knowledge and insight. His doesn't recommend surgery unless you need it and he doesn't think physical therapy alone will work. His big focus is enabling people to do the activities they want to do again. All of the surgeons at the Proliance Orthopedic group are excellent - including him. I highly recommend Dr. Nathe.Patient Submitted Review
