I started seeing Dr Shartman In February of this year to take care of some floaters that surfaced after my cataract and laser surgery to correct some of the scars from the cataract surgery. From the very first visit he was very cordial very professional very friendly and a very likable person. I just had my second eye done to take out the floater and after a week of the basic recovery I have a few more weeks and I'll see him for a last follow-up end in April. The checkin process went very smoothly, followed by the standard eye test and another more involved eye test. Dr. Jerome Schartman looked at my eye images and determined I had a hole in my retina. Ok, so these guys are retinal specialists in every sense of the word and business. They are an exceptional group of Doctors with an efficient team of technicians and young assistants. Shartman is outstanding! I was diagnosed with a central vein retinal occlusion of the right eye. Because of the sharp, astute and quick assesment and intuition of Alaina. (My mother had macular degeneration and they were treating her, taking my mom I had explained a situation with my eye ) Alaina listened to me describe an occurance with my eye and sent me right to scanning and I am grateful she did, I could have lost my eyesight. It has been stabilized and my vision is now very clear and healthy. These doctors and technical team are personable, take the time to explain things to you and make sure you are heard.
