My husband and I went in to see Dr Mickelson after I had been struggling with my left knee pain for about eight years. Dr Mickelson listened to our concerns and goals for the future. After evaluating my x rays and doing a brief exam , we all agreed that a total knee replacement was the best course of action. I was contacted by the surgical scheduler who helped me get all the necessary appointments needed for pre op. Once the day arrived we were greeted by the office staff and quickly checked in. Went to see him after I got my shoulder dislocated. Staff were friendly and prompt with their stuff. Doc Mickelson was great. Pleasant, efficient, thorough. Spent a bit of time talking and getting to know me but was also prompt with his work. Verbalized his assessment while performing, which to me helped solidify his diagnoses and decisions on what to recommend for treatment. Solicited opinions and asked if there were any predefined goals for rehab (e.g. return to swimming, rock climbing). Gave me recommendations for timeline of rehab and provided another referral for PT. Dr. Mickelson and his team have been great. I tore my ACL and meniscus a few months ago and saw Dr M @proliance. He recommended a BEAR implant based on the recency of the injury and the nature of the tear. Had surgery five weeks ago, and so far everything has been great. By day 3, i was off opioid pain meds. By the end of week 1, i was off tylenol and all other pain meds. Five weeks in, I’m at the high end of expectations for the bear recovery protocol. The physical therapist his team recommended (jordan @lwpt) is amazing. It’s a long road to 100%, but I’m glad Dr Mickelson was my surgeon! After the MRI and consultation I ended up only needing an arthroscopic cleanup which went exceptionally well despite some extra cleanup work. I fractured my collarbone while riding my bike down a steep trail. Managed to get myself into a local emergency room, and xray showed my collarbone brocken into 4 pieces. I was referred to Dr. Mickelson at Proliance Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Issaquah. Dr. Mickelson and his staff at the clinic were polite and friendly. I was impressed with through explanation of pre/post surgery processes and scheduling. Dr. Mickelson is reviewed as confident and accomplished surgeon. My surgery is scheduled for next week. I feel very fortunate to have these medical staff assisting me with my recovery. 6 weeks post surgery follow up: Dr. Mickelson reviewed xrays and test my shoulder strength and mobility. My clavicle felt much better from 2nd day post surgery and since then, everyday is a positive progress to recovery. Dayne is a great doctor who kept me fully informed throughout the process of repairing my arm broken on the job. I was concerned about having surgery rather than a brace and Dayne did not pressure me but gave advice and facts then allowed me to make a decision which I now know was the right one. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Dayne Mickleson and the staff at Proliance Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Issaquah. A mis-step descending the stairs in the darkness of the early morning hours resulted in a complete tear of my Distal Quadricep Tendon. Dr. Dayne Mickelson saw me the day after accident and performed the surgery three days later despite a significant snowstorm that had taken place. He did an excellent job of explaining what needed to be done and what my limits might be following surgery and the recovery period. My rehab (Physical Therapy) occurred in the same facility with DPT Caitlin Quinn. She was instrumental in getting me released back to work in a much faster time than anticipated. I met Dr. Mickelson when I was in the ER after a bad fall. I fractured my hip and he immediately introduced himself, comforted me and explained the surgery he would be doing. For several months I struggled with daily pain in my shoulder and arm after damaging them while trying to help my kids move. After trying numerous things I finally sought help from Dr. Mickelson. After a quick physical exam he scheduled an MRI and reviewed all the results with me in clear, easy to understand language and with pictures of my shoulder to show tI had a torn rotator cuff. He gave me all my options and after thinking it through, I chose surgery to fix the tear. The surgery went well and Dr. Mickelson helped design a PT plan to get me back to full use of my shoulder. He worked with my physical therapist and kept up with my progress. When I went in for follow up visits he knew exactly where I was on my road to full recovery. Everything worked by the numbers. Now just a few months after my surgery I've got my shoulder back. No pain, full utilization. THANK YOU Dr. Mickelson. You were outstanding to work with. I recently had an ACL Reconstruction surgery (Allograft) with Dr. Dayne Mickelson. From start to finish, Dr. Mickelson and the staff at Proliance Ortho and Sports Medicine were outstanding.
