Highly Recommend! It took a week of extraction from the Canadian Rockies where I had a bad fall (dislocated shoulder, broken tib/fib), before I was back in Bellevue and immediatley under the surgical care of Dr. Marshall. He rushed me into the first of two surgeries, to first stabilize / reduce swelling with an ex-fixture, and a week later the second to add plates, screws, artificial bone etc. to repair me. Dr. Marshall is kind, detail oriented (his surgical notes are amazing!) explains all issues and risks clearly, and has great follow up. I had numerous questions from the hospital staff: how did you find him? He's so excellent and in high demand! Dr. Marshall is Exhibit A for why our medical system is still the best in the world!

In 2018, while on a business trip to Seattle, I unexpectedly suffered an unstable ankle fracture. Being far from home was very stressful, but I was fortunate to be treated by Dr. Marshall. From the very beginning he explained everything clearly, took the time to answer questions, and gave me confidence despite the difficult situation. The surgery went smoothly and the recovery process was excellent. Dr. Marshall personally ensured that the aftercare was well organized and that I would be safe to fly home to Germany after the surgery. He truly took the time to make sure I was comfortable and well prepared for my return trip. Now, seven years later, I can say the long-term outcome has been outstanding. My ankle is stable, strong, and pain-free in everyday life. Dr. Silas Marshall is by far the best surgeon I have worked with at Proliance. In 2021, I seriously broke my right shoulder and he, to my way of thinking, performed a Miracle fixing it! Dr. Marshall is not your average surgeon. He is personable as well as highly skilled. I fell again 5/8/25 and insisted on seeing no other doctor than Dr. Marshall. Again today, he ruled out bone breaks and is sending me for an MRI to explore a Rotator Cuff injury on my other shoulder. He is the best of the best - thorough, medically astute, kind, and listens to me and we mostly make decisions together although I defer to him and his incredible knowledge of trauma medicine when his decisions make more sense than mine. Dr. Marshall is outstanding. He repaired my tibial plateau fracture and tended to my grumpy needs from my post-surgical discomfort with extreme empathy and professionalism. Dr. Marshall helped reveal the underlying cause of discomfort I had outside of the surgical site, which turns out to be a congenital spinal defect I was unaware of combined with a herniated disc from the accident. He applied the appropriate course of treatment, allowing me to heal comfortably and progress into a new normal of life until my leg heals. My two week post-surgical follow-up is in a couple of days, and I have nothing but the highest of expectations for Dr. Marshall to evaluate and provide the correct guidance based on my assessed condition. I am very impressed with Dr. Marshall and the rest of the Proliance team. I am thankful for them making an awful situation somewhat manageable. Unfortunately for me, I've needed Dr. Marshall twice - shoulder surgery four years ago and knee surgery six weeks ago. Both procedures went great, the incisions healed really well, not a lot of pain after either, I got back 100% strength and range of motion on the shoulder, and the knee recovery is going really well so far. I’ve never written a review on a doctor and have had several for different orthopedic injuries. 2 1/2 years ago I went into the emergency department with a tibial plateau fracture (30 pieces) and the head of the fibula shattered. (Yep, I was a 60 yr old female on a razor scooter riding down a hill on a dark and rainy night!) At the ER the on call orthopedic doctor asked for DR Marshall look at it after he just finished a surgery at the hospital. I had to stay in the hospital for 3 nights, waiting for the surgery and post surgery. The first clue that Dr Marshall was an excellent surgeon was that several nurses said, “Oh, you have a really good doctor”. He put my leg back together and I’ve been able to go back to the activities that I did prior to injury. And this was a significant injury. I’ve returned to Dr Marshall to discuss geting the hardware out since I will probably need a knee replacement which I knew about prior to the injury. I am reminded after seeing Marshall a couple days ago of how he knows his job and does it with the utmost competence and care. He answers all your questions respectfully and is very thorough. Dr Silas Marshall is a gem. He listened to me this time around just as patiently as listened to my wife ,Sharon about 9 years ago. She snapped the head off her left femur. He carefully explained how he could screw it in place which could possibly heal in natural position to allow her to continue running. He did. She can. This result is amazing. When I approached him for help replacing my worn out knees he listened carefully and suggested I consider help from the Proliance surgeon who is his choice should he need similar help. So happy I was treated by Dr. Marshall! It’s been a long journey with a bicondylar tibial plateau fracture. Dr. Marshall’s has great expertise at evaluating & treating complex fractures & I was grateful for his care. In addition I had a clot (DVT) he was able to identify before surgery, which otherwise may not have been caught. Dr. Marshall has kept me on my feet twice for two potential "athletic hobby career ending injuries" with an eye towards long term recovery and minimally intrusive strategies. I'm an avid outdoor athlete, snowboarding 40+ times a year in winter and mountain biking countless miles a week. Years ago, he repaired my ACL and repaired my minuscus vs. removing it, and I attribute my ability to still send hard 10 years later fully to him. He also repaired a fibula spiral fracture and full ankle dislocation (my foot was backwards) with a "minimally invasive" strategy, and again I attribute my recovery to him. Dr. Marshall treated my dad for a broken shoulder. He had taken the time to contact my brother who is also a physician to discuss my dad's case. My brother left the conversation feeling that our dad was in great hands. During our first visit, Dr. Marshall was out of the office that day, but had his PA text message him a copy of the x-ray. Sprial fracture of left tibia (by ankle) and fibula (by knee) after a skiing injury before Christmas. Dr Marshall operated on the Sunday after Christmas and added a plate plus 11 screws to hold my tibia together and I have barely had any pain since. Three months later, I am cycling 20-30 miles (slightly slower than pre-injury) and I am looking forward to an active summer! I went to Dr. Marshall, and after a thorough examination, he informed me that my pain was due to arthritis of the hip joint and not the fracture. I sought the opinion to two other surgeons and they concurred. Dr. Marshall performed hip replacement surgery with wonderful results.
