I was not impressed by my visit at HMU. As I was waiting in my exam room I heard every single word between the patient and Dr in the room next to me, which violated HIPPA. Also, when the doctor left the patients room next to mine the medical assistant loudly shouted, “your next patient in 7 has blood in her urine”. I was the patient they were referring to - I was in exam room 7!! Never have I ever experienced such a lack of patient privacy. I then heard conversations between the doctor and the medical assistant about what tests he wanted done on the other patient. The doctor then came to visit me and was professional and nice, but I would not feel comfortable referring anyone to this clinic.
