Individuals who see Karla Wise, LPCC, for therapy can expect a compassionate, “person-centered” experience. Karla believes every single person embodies the wisdom within themselves to integrate and heal even the most seemingly challenging, traumatic, or complicated life experiences. She trusts your ability to empower yourself! Using a variety of mindfulness-based, somatic, and hypnosis techniques, you’ll explore deep, subconscious underlying beliefs and programs that contribute to present-day problems. Karla enjoys working with teenagers and adults ages 14+, people in transition in their lives (college, parenting, illness, divorce, career changes), and individuals who, through challenges and trauma, are questioning the deeper meaning of life and ready to explore existential and/or spiritual topics relevant to their current life situations.
Karla is a certified hypnotherapist and uses somatic (body-focused) and hypnosis techniques to assist clients in integrating complex trauma, exploring different “parts” of themselves (trained utilizing strategies from Internal Family Systems, or IFS), addressing relationship challenges, accessing their subconscious mind to heal childhood wounds, and overcoming unwanted habits and fears. Karla is certified in the Anchored Relational (formerly AIR Network) model and is experienced working with complex trauma and dissociative disorders. Finally, Karla enjoys “nature therapy,” hiking state parks with her young-adult kids, and tending to her flowers and plants.
