Dr. Genokristo "Geno" Ochieng, M.D., grew up in Riverside, Kenya. He earned his undergraduate degree from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, and completed his medical degree at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. Before embarking on his medical career, Dr. Ochieng gained a unique perspective on service and community by working as both a janitor and a substitute teacher.
Dr. Ochieng is deeply committed to serving the diverse communities of Southern California—the very places that have shaped him. Outside of the clinic, family, friends, and the LA Clippers mean a great deal to him. A proud member of #ClipperNation, he translates that same passion for teamwork and perseverance directly into his medical practice.
In his free time, Dr. Ochieng is an amateur artist who also loves cooking, experimenting with new recipes, and connecting with people through food and culture. He approaches his medical residency and future career by living out the best piece of advice he ever received: “Stay ready, so you don’t have to get ready.”
