Dr. Birkel is just outstanding. He gave clear and concise instructions on home care, therapy and appropriate footwear to aid in healing. He also took the time to help me understand why the issue occurred and how these recommended steps would aid in my recovery. I would highly recommend him to friends and family.

Dr. Birkel is great! I was dealing with a lot of foot pain due to plantar fasciitis and plantar fibroma. I feel like he really listens and cares. I lfollowed his instructions and medical advice and it truly helped those issues I was having with my foot. He went to bat for me with my insurance co to appeal a denial they gave me. I appreciate his card and service! I totally recommend 1foot 2foot for your feet issues!

Dr. Birkel was wonderful! He treated my adult special needs son and was attentive and understanding. His exam was very thorough. In addition to what brought us into the office, he found a couple of separate additional concerns that will require follow up and close observation. I am very grateful for his compassionate interaction with my son. His kind manner put him at ease and his explanations helped put me at ease.

Quickly assessed my situation and created a plan of care that I think will work, including a check in to see how I am doing.

I chose 1 Foot 2 Foot by looking through internet reviews. When i called his staff could get me in to see a doctor in 3 days. The staff was friendly and helpful over the phone. Dr. Birkel was amazing! He was compassionate, knowledgeable and took his time to explain the issue with my foot. He answered all my questions thoroughly and made me feel very comfortable. I really appreciate him and his staff!

In all honesty I could not find a better Podiatrist than Mr Birkel, first as a Podiatrist plus someone who has a great personality

Dr. Birkel is amazing. He's funny yet professional. He could tell I was nervous so he told me one of reoccuring dreams he keeps having and it made me laugh. He's very easy to talk to which is so important as a doctor. His MA, Maya Powell, who was assisting is awesome as well! I wasn't feeling the greatest during the injection to get numb and she noticed right away and offered water. She helped me get through it by talking and keeping eye contact with me the whole time. She knows how to work with patients and her co-workers very good. Overall, the staff were all smiling, kind, and professional. They seemed to know their patients very well or they're just that good they treat everyone like family. The staff is like family, you can tell by their mannerisms that it's a very good place to work at. They love what they're doing!

Friendly, and explained everything

Dr. Birkel was very knowledgeable about the condition of my foot and did not hesitate to solve the problem. I walked in there in pain and walked out more than relieved. I did have to wait around 30 minutes to be seen by him but once he came in with his warm bedside manner I could see why. He makes patience feel comfortable and heard. A rare quality among doctors now a days. I am thankful for his service and will definitely be returning again.

Receptionest couldn't understand why patient would need help filling in tablet,so wouldn't help her.Said she was the only one there.Turned out there were more people there after all& she got the complete help she needed.Disabled,shouldn't have mattered or had to be mentioned.

I like the actual doctor himself but the front staff is terrible about getting back to you or not getting back to you at all. My problem has NEVER been resolved. My foot is having the same pain but alot worse now.

Wonderful doctor. Nice personality and he was the first doctor me and my sweetheart were able to get upon arriving in Virginia. My sweetheart is prediabetic and had a bad ulcer on the bottom of his foot. He treated him every week and I have a lot of problems going back many years. He has been a really great doctor. Have the utmost respect for him.
