A passion for podiatry runs deep in the Weil family. Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Dr. Lowell Weil Jr. grew up watching his father, Lowell Sr., work as a podiatrist in local hospitals and as the Team Podiatrist for the Chicago Bears. So, it was no surprise that he attended the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago for his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine after graduating from Vanderbilt University.
Armed with an additional Masters in Business Administration, today he is not only a Podiatrist but also CEO for WFAI, where he makes use of both his podiatric expertise and his business training to provide the best environment for patients, team members, and physicians for the highest level of care. In addition to being trained in the latest surgical techniques, Dr. Weil Jr. embodies the ethic of care that makes WFAI special. He believes that every patient’s story deserves to be heard.

Waited past my appointment time to be seen by the doctor, but he did have another doctor come in and speak to me while I was waiting, so that was good. Got referred to another specialist.
Dr. Lowell heard my concerns, made a plan and explained his plan. My foot is feeling better already.
Always a very Informative and friendly Dr
I’ve been in unbearable pain with various issues in both feet; bunion, dislocations, fractured plantar plates, hammer toes. Doctors attributed it to my Rheumatoid Arthritis and left it at that. Before seeing Dr. Weil, I literally said to myself daily that I will not/cannot live with this for another 35yrs. I went to some dark spaces. I am 5wks post-op on 1 foot and 10 days post on the other and in ZERO pain. When I write life-altering I’m not exaggerating. I am so grateful that I found a podiatrist who listened to me and sent me to Dr. Weil. His words to me were “ONLY Dr. Weil.” Yes. . . ONLY Dr. Weil.
