I wish I was sick more often so I can go see Dr TJ! But he's keeping me healthy 🤷

TJ Sirrine, PA-C, AAHIVS, was born and raised in the Phoenix Metropolitan area —in fact, his family has been here for 8 generations, making him a true Arizonan! His Great-Grandmother was one of the first females to graduate from Tempe Normal School, later becoming Arizona State University (ASU), which TJ later attended, obtaining his undergraduate degree in Biology. To satisfy some of his other curiosities, he also minored in religion and did a political internship at the House of Representatives. He was on the Dean’s List and throughout the process became a lifelong and die-hard Sun Devil fan.
TJ then went to AT Still University for Physician Associate (PA) school. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2009 and was awarded that year’s Provost Award for exemplifying the University’s mission of whole person healthcare: treating body, mind, and spirit. While there, he was elected Student Body Vice President and was also selected for inclusion in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, which recognizes outstanding scholastic ability, leadership on and off campus, and community service.
Since 2010, TJ has worked in Primary Care with a focus on LGBTQIA+ health and related disparities. He has been certified as an HIV specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM) since 2012. He has been a co-investigator in multiple clinical trials, which have facilitated the approval of several HIV medications. In addition, he is also well-versed in all aspects of PrEP, PEP, DoxyPEP, gender affirming hormone treatment (GAHT), and primary & preventative medical care for ALL individuals. TJ enjoys sharing his passion for this area of medicine by mentoring new medical providers or established medical providers wishing to learn more about this area of medicine in which he has extensive experience.
TJ believes that part of his practice is certainly to help patients maintain or achieve their optimal health, but another equally important part is to help alleviate any fears, obstacles, or burdens of doing so.
Outside of work, TJ considers himself to be a foodie but readily admits to not being familiar with his way around a kitchen. He enjoys college football (especially Sun Devils), is a Phoenix Suns fan, and is a car enthusiast.
