The person that checked us in was so nice and greeted us with a smile. It was downhill from there. The person that took us back never introduced herself and walked way ahead of us. I still don't know what her title was and only found out her name as we were leaving and that's only because my husband asked her what it was. She was very rude and did not want any extra information that was important to my visit. I am a retired RN with 44 years of hospital nursing (23 at Rex and 17 at Wake Med) and I have never worked with anybody as rude as she was to us in the 3 minutes she interviewed us. I never met the PA because they don't do second opinions . The only good part was I got a Monday morning appointment with a spine specialist.

He was thorough, he was thoughtful, he listened, he was humorous, he was cheerful!

I've gotten about 40 or so knee injections over the past three years by Stephen Smith, and he is so very good that they barely hurt at all. He is an utter genius when it comes to giving injections so they are painless. Even knee injections, which is incredible. I had dreaded them, but he makes it almost a pleasure to get them. And the really work wonderfully for me, resulting in almost no knee pain at all in spite of serious arthritis in both knees.

Was so personable with our little guy! He took time to bring in a picture that our little guy could keep and took time to explain things on his (7-year) level in addition to our level!
