He has a great manner about him. He explains things he gives you your options and he’s easy to work with, and he has helped me to live a better quality life.

I was brought in on time, the appointment went very quick, felt pushed and had to interject to ask questions. All of my questions were answered though. Suggestion, try to seem more interested in the patient.

I was extremely disappointed with this visit. I felt dismissed and when I admitted I was having a second opinion and felt as though I was being forced out. Mr. Free stated early interventions for my son’s condition weren’t helpful (despite research suggesting otherwise), noting specifically that if his condition worsens it’s due to genetics and no other factors (which is not what data suggest). He stated “no one here does surgery for (this) so we would send him to Duke or UNC anyway.” So why take my money and have an appointment if you’re not well versed in treatment of this condition? When I asked about other options he stated they were not beneficial and he wasn’t aware of any clinic in the area that utilized bracing, a pretty standard treatment option for this issue, with 75% efficacy. Mr. Free also commented that females are often treated at a higher rate than males because “they care much more how they look in bikinis and boys usually don’t care.”
