Sofia Helena Fuentes Camacho, P.A.-C

Sofia Helena Fuentes Camacho, P.A.-C, is a physician assistant with a strong background in orthopedic and musculoskeletal care. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences and holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Brigham Young University–Idaho.

During her physician assistant training, Sofia completed clinical rotations across a broad range of specialties, including orthopedic sports medicine, general surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, emergency medicine, and family medicine. Her background in exercise physiology and orthopedic research has given her a particular interest in how movement, strength, and biomechanics affect injury and recovery.

Sofia is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and helping patients understand their condition and treatment options. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and values the opportunity to provide care and education in a patient’s preferred language.

Outside of clinical practice, Sofia has been involved in research focused on musculoskeletal biomechanics and improving healthcare access for Spanish-speaking patients. She looks forward to helping patients throughout Southern Oregon return to the activities they enjoy.
