First thing in the morning and she said ( running behind can’t do much today.) 5 minutes later she left the room without any type of medical exam? Without any solution for further care. Went to breakfast, came back and was patronized, left in the room to se The Dr. Again. Oh wait! She is too busy. The approval for payment by the V A was not approved. I have two types of medical insurance. Does anyone care?

She is “REAL” for sure! Kind, listens and gives you as much time as you need. Then discusses your issues and comes up with the best solution.

I have had chronic pain for 22 years, I was finally referred to pain management and felt hopeful for the first time in my life. I have one of the most painful skin diseases you can have and was told "I don't treat that".... My skin pain is worse than my very real back pain, my body is turning on me and I'm suicidal and I was told to take magnesium LOLOL. These people should be ashamed that someone is in bad enough condition to think about death and they won't even prescribe something to help.

Spent about 20 minutes with Shelby, and her solution to chronic pain was to be bed ridden at a young age.

She was professional and trained by Doctor Sullivin. I just hope she can let the insurance know about the fact I have bone spur clusters on both sides of my C-Spine and I have nerve damage and pain. So they will approve the Lidocaine Patches I’ve used for 20 years at least. Don’t like pain pills.

I really like Dr Real and have no issues with her. It is Dr Young that I have a complaint about. I have gotten 2 medial branch nerve blocks from him, and when I asked him to complete FMLA papers for my cervicogenic headaches he refused and said he wouldn't do them for me and I should ask my primary care to complete them! Why would I have another doctor fill them out when he is the one treating me for them?? This is not right and I am at a loss as to what to do. My previous pain management physician Dr Dalgren was so understanding and actually provided me with pain relief that made my life actually bearable and wasn't in denial that the headaches come from my neck, which is the result of a car accident where I was rear ended while stopped by a car going at a high rate of speed back in 2003. Dr Young doesn't seem to care enough to actually ask or care if he has the info from my past chart with Dr Dalgren.. he only criticizes his practices and really doesn't care!

She is an excellent caregiver to my age group..grandmothers! Shelby always presents very calm, and patient. She listens first, and listens carefully. She always leads gently and not forcefully. She is always open to the new, but her medical experience always guides her decisions and suggestions. I wish every medical professional I have encountered could take notes from Shelby Real.

Rude conscending and intimidating from the start. explained i have anxiety but persisted with agressive attitude when she thought i was “changing my story multiple times” when she was the one who failed to ask pertinent timeline questions about my answers, according to her my shoulder pain has been one year, i told her it was two years, i told her the couple alcoholic drinks was after horrible hard days of physical work, i havent worked in 1.5 years so how does that statement apply to this year according to her. by the time i was asked about muscle relaxers i was already having an anxiety attack from her straight rude accusations, now there’s a bunch of innacurate information that can be disproved by the testimony of several doctors and physical therapists i have seen in the last year and half. 11/10 would not recommend this vile inhumane human being
