This was the first time I got the meet Dr Nelson and she was awesome! She took time with my husband, didn’t push him. He had so much to go over and she just listened and would answer his questions. She was there for him totally. I was so impressed and she really wants to dig deeper to try to help him with all his issues and I really appreciate a doctor that is there for the patient.

Rebecca completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Charleston Southern University, where she focused on evidence-based medicine and explored the role of glucagon-like peptide receptor agonists in treating binge eating disorder for her master’s thesis. During her clinical training, she gained extensive experience in endocrinology working with patients managing complex conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and other hormonal imbalances.
Her medical experience extends beyond her PA education. Before becoming a Physician Assistant, Rebecca worked as a Certified Medical Assistant in various specialties, including endocrinology, family medicine, and internal medicine. This hands-on experience strengthened her skills in patient care, diagnostic testing, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
