Osvaldo Burgos-Iturrino, MSHS, PA-C, is a dedicated and highly experienced certified Physician Assistant with a profound commitment to orthopedic medicine. His passion for the field began in his teenage years after witnessing his brother undergo surgery and rehabilitation for a joint injury. Today, Osvaldo Burgos-Iturrino, MSHS, PA-C, is driven by the rewarding process of guiding injured patients through recovery and helping them successfully return to their activities of daily living.
Before earning his physician assistant certification in 2017, Osvaldo served his country for more than a decade as a medical assistant and orthopedic technician in the United States Navy. This extensive background provides him with a wealth of hands-on trauma and musculoskeletal experience. His specialized clinical interests include the comprehensive care of upper and lower-extremity injuries, the administration of joint injections, complex casting, splinting, and bracing, the incorporation of orthotics into treatment plans, and expert fracture and wound management.
Osvaldo Burgos-Iturrino, MSHS, PA-C, built a strong academic foundation to support his clinical practice. He holds a Master of Health Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and completed his Physician Assistant certification at Anne Arundel Community College. He previously earned his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Maryland, Shady Grove, an Associate in Life Sciences from Montgomery College, and his Orthopedic Technician Certification from the Orthopedic Specialty Academy in San Antonio, Texas.
A highly decorated service member, Osvaldo Burgos-Iturrino, MSHS, PA-C, completed two deployments to Iraq and Kuwait, earning the Combat/Trauma Skill Training Award. His exceptional military leadership and managerial service—including his time as Leading Petty Officer at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center—have been recognized with the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, four Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and four Good Conduct Medals. Outside of the clinic, Osvaldo Burgos-Iturrino, MSHS, PA-C, enjoys continuing his duties in the Naval Reserve, volunteering in his community, working out, traveling, and hiking.
