The reviews listed below were collected independently of Swift Institute through rater8. Each review represents an authentic and verified patient experience.
Nikki was very knowledgeable and was able to explain to both my husband and myself what was happening to my hip.
I could have skipped my last MRI since Nikki requested an xray which showed, very clearly where the problem is.
She was able to answer all of our questions without hesitation and give us different paths in which to follow to relieve the stress/pain in my hip.
I would (and will) recommend this office, Nikki in particular, to anyone with “mystery” hip issues.
We have heard nothing but positive things about Dr. Owens and we agree that Nikki is a real plus to this office.
Thank you for seeing me.

I had asked to speak with my Dr. Before my appt. But I did not see my Dr. That was not Nikki's fault. Just disappointed.

Nikki Hannon, PA-C joined the Swift Institute joint replacement team in 2024. While Nikki was raised in Portola, California, she has called Reno, Nevada, home for most of her life. She is a proud first-generation college graduate and credits her strong work ethic to her upbringing in a hardworking family.
She completed her undergraduate degree in Public Health and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. While pursuing her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies, she did a clinical rotation with a joint replacement specialist. As she completed her degree, Nikki knew she wanted to work in the orthopedic specialty. She is particularly interested in hip, knee, and sports medicine, which she attributes to her active lifestyle.
Nikki's path to a Physician Assistant career specializing in orthopedics began when she was in high school and found herself sidelined with a sports injury. Multiple injuries—and successful outcomes—later, she had a strong appreciation for the orthopedic specialists who helped her get back to the sports she loved.
Nikki's training includes orthopedics, emergency medicine, physical therapy, pediatrics, women's health, and neurosurgery. This broad experience enhances her understanding of patient health and offers her a well-rounded skillset.
She appreciates the northern Nevada region's outdoor opportunities in her spare time and particularly enjoys mountain biking and hiking.
