Michael K. Kowalke PA-C

Mike is nationally certified as a Physician Assistant (PA) through the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants). He joined Prairie Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery in 2025. Mike was born and raised in Lincoln, graduating from the University of Nebraska. Mike graduated from PA school in 2014 and practiced in orthopedics, with emphasis on spinal surgery, trauma spine surgery, as well as hip and knee surgery. Earlier in Mike's career, he earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC) from Southern California University and practiced as a sports-based chiropractor for several years before deciding to advance his education as a PA. Previous to all of this education and experience, Mike worked in Las Vegas, NV in the pathology field as a pathologist assistant. Mike is married to Lindsey, and they have two children. In his free time, Mike enjoys working out, golf, and Husker Football.
