McKenzie Knapick, MPAS, PA-C

McKenzie Knapick, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant bringing a thorough, patient-centered approach to every visit. She works closely with the practice's ENT physicians to help patients receive attentive, well-coordinated care from their first appointment through follow-up.

At Ear Institute of Texas, McKenzie supports the practice's physicians across the full arc of a patient's visit — taking histories, performing physical exams, interpreting diagnostic results, and following up as treatment progresses. Her background in urgent and family medicine gives her hands-on experience with minor procedures such as incision and drainage, foreign body removal, and biopsies, skills she brings to help patients get efficient, thorough care alongside the practice's ENT team.

Before joining Ear Institute of Texas, McKenzie spent more than four years in urgent and family medicine across the San Antonio area. As an urgent care physician assistant at Texas MedClinic, she independently managed acute illnesses and injuries and performed procedures including laceration repairs, splinting, and punch biopsies. Earlier, at Medina Healthcare System in Castroville and Deerwood Family Practice in San Antonio, she provided primary and urgent care to pediatric and adult patients, often in rural and medically underserved communities, building a practice style rooted in independence, thoroughness, and follow-through.

McKenzie earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UT Health San Antonio in 2021, where she was inducted into both the Alpha Eta Honor Society and the Pi Alpha National Honor Society in recognition of her academic achievement and leadership. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Texas A&M University, which she completed with Cum Laude honors in 2017.

McKenzie is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed to practice in Texas. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Bexar County Physician Assistant Society. McKenzie welcomes new patients to Ear Institute of Texas and looks forward to being part of their care team.
