He provided easy to understand explanations of what to expect with my upcoming surgery and answered every question I had to my satisfaction.
Dr. Matthew is very friendly and has a relaxed demeanor that is quite relatable. It is easy to feel comfortable around him. When you’re in the examination room waiting, you may find yourself getting anxious, not knowing what will happen, worried they won’t be able to help you. Then Dr. Matthew comes in, and right away puts you at ease with his knowledge, experience, and his kindness. You may find yourself agreeing to his suggestions to help ease your pain, and before you can blink, he’s stuck you with a needle full of something that does indeed help. Wait! What? You thought he’d have to leave the room and send the MA in to give the injection, but no, he keeps those things right in his pocket. You won’t have time to get nervous. He doesn’t even need to ask you where your knee hurts- he knows exactly where to put the steroid, or foam, or whatever. This is how it will go until your knee no longer responds and it’s time for a new shiny metal one. That’s where I am in this journey.
