In addition, Katy earned her bachelor's degree in Biology and Environmental Studies at Washington & Lee University (WLU).
During her medical training, Katy most enjoyed her surgical rotations and assisting in the operating room. In addition to the skills she acquired while first assisting in a variety of surgical sub-specialties, she was also trained in the following procedures: venipuncture, acute and chronic wound care, incision and drainage, joint injection, suturing, bracing, casting, and more.
At the conclusion of her medical training, Katy was inducted into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants in recognition of her academic achievement, leadership, and community/professional service.
In her spare time Katy enjoys running, hiking, camping, traveling, painting, and photography. She looks forward to exploring the outdoors of Nevada and the west coast with her husband, and to making Reno her new home.
I found Kaitlin to be attentive and knowledge.
Kaitlin was helpful, kind and attentive as usual. She truly listens, cares and is knowledgeable. I am very glad my Primary Dr referred me to Dr Abdunner and his wonderful assistant. She helped me get through my back surgery before and after!
Very pleasant and knowledgeable. I feel I'm in good hands.
Very thorough in examination. Offered a pain treatment I wasn’t expecting that will help with another issue.
She's very nice and friendly,,she explained everything so that I understood and she really listens to your concerns about your condition, I would recommend her to friends and family
Very personable and easy to relate to. Explained the procedure and the scheduling.
Very knowledgeable and so friendle, recommend to everyone
Kaitlin was very good at explaining everything I am to do for my pre op and afterwards what to expect and what not necessarily to expect after surgery.
She paid attention seemed to care about my pain. We need more like her. The check in desk was a bit brash or abrupt but it’s all ok.
Professional and friendly, all the times I have been seen. Great job!
