Very pleased with entire process from making the appointment, checking in, and the actual doctor exam / appointment. My foot issue had caused ongoing pain for multiple months. I had seen a different doctor who performed minimal checking and told me to take aleve. After 2 more months without improvement I made an appointment with Josie based upon a referral from a friend. Josie was thorough in her exam, asked several questions to clarify my symptoms and pain. Made diagnosis of plantar fiasciitis, gave me a cortisone shot, recommend certain types of shoes, and recommended certain brands for orthotic insoles. For any future foot / feet problems I will go back to Josie and I highly recommend her. Very personable, listened well, demonstrated caring attitude and strong knowledge. Only wish I would have seen her sooner!

Seemed rushed. Lots of confusion about what I needed to do. Assumed your office had contacted my primary care physician, the primary care physician has no record of receipt of fax from September. Logic would say if you don’t hear back in two weeks you follow up with a phone call or call me. This lead to a lot of assumptions of your part and confusion on mine. Your side wasn’t taking responsibility.

Josie is an excellent Physician Assistant. She reviewed my X-rays and discussed my problem then explained what needed to be done. I had a Cortisone injection into my knee which was painless. She also felt that I needed a brace which has give me relief already.

Josie was okay, but my overall experience was not good. Waited 1 hour past my appointment time to see the PA. Then the assistant tried to escort me out without the prescribed brace. My prescription did not get called in to the pharmacy. When I called to check on it the next morning, it was sent to the wrong pharmacy even though I had given the name, address, phone number to both Josie and staff member. Overall patient experience was not good.

I have mixed feelings about my appointment. Overall, things were friendly, efficient and helpful. The interaction was professional, and at the right level. The main reason why I am not giving 5 stars is that I noticed a recommendation for "Dry Needling" in my paperwork. For those who don't know, dry needling is essentially a relabeling of acupuncture and, like acupuncture, it is NOT an evidence based treatment. Acupuncture has actually been proven NOT to work. (No, if you think it worked for you, that doesn't mean it works; it means you have confused an anecdote with data.) I am offended and annoyed that a healthcare provider would waste my time and waste resources on treatments that are not evidence based.
