Mr Bourland was very knowledgeable & kind. Once I got in he was not long coming in & helped me so much. I just hated filling out such long medical history while in so much pain & waiting so long to be seen. it would have helped if I could have filled it out before I arrived & at least talked to a real person. I wish Norman Regional would share since it’s the same complex.

Asked if pain relief was needed and he said yes and provided no other details. Did not mention I was receiving a prescription for pain. Did not know this until I was notified by my pharmacy.

He is a JOKE !! Very vague in his diagnosis. Told me I was “lucky” that all looked good (Oct 2023) Elbow ended up OK Ended up having Shoulder surgery in January / when I could have had it in Dec (Christmas Break) Then had to wait to se a REAL Doctor (Bond) because he is so good and busy till Mid December then ended had surgery Jan 15 2024 Dr Bourland didn’t act like he cared AT ALL in the best interest of me. Ended up having to use 30 days of leave Due to his inadequacy. where if diagnosed in the beginning would have only been 12 days

Joe was compassionate and spoke directly to my son who was the patient. He explained the severity of his injury and the impact it may have on his future in a manner appropriate for the patient.

He saw my son had an obvious chip fracture in his elbow. He then told me that my son may have some thing the matter with him but he’d have to see he did some different manipulations on my son and my son said it hurt, but not terrible I explained to him that my son had sensory processing disorder and he doesn’t feel things like other people it’s much less and because his pain tolerance is so high. He then said look at his x-ray. Do you see the chip in it? That’s his growth plate so nothings the matter that’s not true I have been in the medical field for 20 years two of those years were spent in the children’s ER I know what a growth plate is and it’s not a chip in a child’s elbow that is busted off, then I called the clinic to let the clinic manager know what was going on and I never got a call back today. I hope I will get a call back tomorrow. I was told to call back from the secretary Joe answer the phone immediately even though he never answers the phone at the clinic he’s a PA can

First meeting Dr. Bourland and the after hours clinic. the staff was upbeat and helpful. They had “personality! Very important to get off on the right foot. Dr. Bourland was as friendly as the staff. I was relaxed and and he knew what he was doing. I would record Him and the clinic to anyone who asked.
