Did not do a thorough physical exam. Strength tested only one side in a seated position so no comparison for baseline was established using the uninjured side, only did one special test for labrum tear which was a log roll test - one of the least reliable tests for that injury, did not perform a FADIR or FABER or scour test, (he would have found a positive scour test and FADIR test because I have already had it test positive by a PT), diagnosed with piriformis syndrome without any testing only based on symptoms and ignored that I already have SI joint issues on the side where there is hip pain that explains some of my symptoms, & did not testing to confirm or rule out either of those diagnoses. When I asked for an MRI to rule out labrum tear he ordered standard without contrast which is not the gold standard for diagnosing a labrum tear and can often miss smaller tears. I would rather not see him at my follow up appointment, please give me someone more competent and thorough.
