My condition was not well explained; I didn’t really understand it until I got home and did some research. The doctor seemed rushed. She also charted incorrectly; my left ear has hearing loss but they said right in my notes. They handed me a barely legible packet about dealing with tinnitus - no-one had explained this may be permanent so I was really upset when I read it at home. I was sent out not understanding the long-term trajectory of hearing loss or potential causes. I feel angry and confused following the appointment. That being said, the woman who actually conducted the hearing test was incredibly kind and informative.
