I went to the office with severe hip pain. Jim diagnosed my problem quickly and we jointly decided on a steroid shot to directly target the affected area. Relief from my pain started in the evening and is much better the day after. I'm still not completely rid of the pain but it is much, much improved..

Jim is the best and so compassionate!

He downplayed my symptoms. He said I was fine but I knew that the pain I was having was not normal. Luckily all I wanted was a PT referral which he provided. My PT diagnosed and treated the problem. I've been a woman long enough to know when my symptoms are being downplayed but I'm just getting used to people who think that at 64 I shouldn't have 100% recovery.

Ok, I would have and probably should give James a 5 star rating, because he was personable, very informative and walked me through my entire diagnosis. I would strongly advise, however, when presenting a diagnosis to a patient, the word 'degenerative' not be used until/unless a very detailed explanation is given of what that entails. While he seemed not to be concerned about my condition and it's future impact on my health, 'degenerative spinal disease' may mean one thing to him, but to me it means 'potentially life altering and VERY BAD thing'.....Once we discussed the implication of my condition, I was more comfortable with my long term prognosis, but I certainly had several bad moments there where I was trying to both process my condition and listen to him at the same time. Not really a 'fault', but something to consider when presenting information to the patients. That said, I found him very informative, very easy to talk to, and would recommend him to anyone.
