James “Jim” D. Fulginiti is a board-certified physician assistant who is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania.
James “Jim” D. Fulginiti was board certified as a physician assistant in 2008, after graduating from Drexel University with a Master of Health Science degree in Physician Assistant studies. He has always held good standing with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Since certification, he has specialized in orthopaedic surgery, general orthopaedics, and sports medicine. He is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania. He is a member of both the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. His affiliations include Doylestown Health and the Doylestown Surgery Center. Additionally, he holds Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications.
Originally from Downingtown, PA, he received his undergraduate degree in 2006 from West Chester University, in the field of Sports Medicine and Athletic Training. He joined Bucks County Orthopedic Specialists in May 2017 after re-locating from Marlton, NJ, where he worked as an Orthopaedic PA-C for 8 years in both the Virtua and Inspira healthcare systems.
His interest in orthopaedics started in high school, as a multi-sport athlete who spent a lot of time in the training room. As he furthered his education, he began moving closer to the front lines of medicine, before finally settling into the PA profession. Orthopaedic surgery quickly became a focus, as it’s one of the few sub-specialties that would allow him to directly contribute to the rapid improvement in an individual’s quality of life.
Jim’s career choice also serves the 201st REDHORSE Squadron, a combat engineering squadron, based at Horsham Air Guard Station, Pennsylvania. Holding the rank of Major, he proudly serves both country and state in the PA Air National Guard. He has served one tour of duty thus far, including 3 months of trauma surgery in northeastern Afghanistan.
Outside of work, Jim can think of nothing better than spending time with his wife, Brianna, son, Davis, and dog, Charlie.
