Clinically good. Bedside needs improvement. I had a fingernail removed and I think clinicians should explain more about what to expect, restrictions, and after care. I had to ask about all of those things. I was also told I could drive myself and my baby home but most of my hand was numb and in hindsight I didn’t think that was very safe. I am currently 8 weeks postpartum and part of the problem was that during the nerve block I had a vasovagal reaction (nausea, sweating, dizzy). He just got a staff member who brought me a lolly pop. I had my brother drive myself and baby home since I still felt unwell. When I asked about wound care he said I should put a band aid on it and didn’t need bacitracin. Did not advise on pain control. It was very painful to remove the dressing because it stuck to the nail bed. A band aid is not enough for a mom of two young children. It needs more padding. I think a nurse or MA should educate and support before during and after and give written instructions.

Left feeling that the initial reason of the visit was never acknowledged. Was injured by a student at my job, which the MRI showed a bone contusion, and arthritis, which i never knew i had. Definitely feel like bedside manner could have been better.
