I have no doubt that Hannah was concerned about my mother, but she would not listen to either my mother or I. We repeatedly questioned my mother's need for a Foley catheter. The day of the visit was the first day she had had any issues emptying her bladder in many years, and my mother and I repeatedly stated that retention was a symptom of her previous chronic UTIs. Hannah was absolutely insistent that mother needed a Foley catheter and even after I, as the person who makes the medical decisions for my 87 year old mother, chose not to have it placed, Hannah came back into the room and was very insistent that she needed it. At that point my mother had endured almost 10 minutes of an aid painfully attempting to insert a catheter to drain her bladder and obtain a urine specimen, then having to wait, in stirrups and the table raised over four feet into the air for 25- 30 minutes waiting dor a burse to try the catheter. She has intense tremors and almost fell off the table multiple times.

Still wish we could have done tests or something. I fill like I hear all of the same answers. I appreciate that she called and is doing a little bit more blood work. I just hope that we can find out what’s going on and not take forever.
