This was one of the most disappointing and transactional healthcare interactions I’ve ever had. Gayaneh didn’t seem to be listening to me at all, repeated questions I already answered in that answered in the visit, and made an incredibly inappropriate comment about one of my lab results saying “that’s bad” and then provided zero follow up or guidance as to why I should be worried about that particular panel and what I should be prioritizing. They also made another comment about insurance authorizing my procedure which felt flippant, and again, did not provide any context into what that process might look like or when I’d know. After the visit which lasted about 8 minutes, she simply marched me out of the office. Please ensure they are not part of my care team going forward. Perhaps they were just having a bad day, but I expect a certain level of professionalism and warmth from a provider, especially since I’m completely new to this process.
