When we came into the appointment he had read the file and notes from other doctors. He knew our situation which I was impressed with. I didn't have to go through and explain, yet again, everything. He was very personable and very friendly. He listened to what I had to say and worked with us for a solution. I would highly recommend Fred Kominars to anyone.

Not only were all of my concerns dismissed but it was very noticeable that Fred has a check list of order of treatment that he follows and is not an out of the box thinker. I left this appointment so disheartened I cried for two days and took over a week to complete this survey before i sent my review.

My telehealth visit was my first time meeting Fred. He was very kind & made me feel as though someone was actually interested in what I was saying. I also felt that he's finally going to help me. I've been dealing with my issues for over 2 years with no real relief.

Our meeting was brief, but informative. He took a thorough history and gave me a course of action.

I felt like I was being rushed in and out of his room as quickly as possible. He told me one test result, and then was ready to get me out of there without even letting me ask any questions. When I did ask questions, the responses felt very dismissive. It was essentially "You don't have to worry about that" without any description of why or what was actually going on.

Very professional and "old school". Although I generally don't see or care for PA's as a nurse, Fred was very good. He is knowable and very thorough. I have only seen him once but if things continue, he will definitely be my GI specialist at Huron Gastro now!

He yawned while he took my history and didn’t let me finish my history. Told me to stop taking notes when he was telling me my plan of care. I had no support as I navigated the diagnosis of IBS. I was clueless how to determine my trigger foods and next steps of care. I would have rated him a zero if it was an option.

I felt my concerns were not adequetly listened to. The medicine he recommended turned out to be the exact same one I already said had given me horrible diarrhea. I felt like he was not listening to me when I described my issues and kept trying to fit it into his preconceived ideas of what was wrong, and I really felt like I was being mansplained to and blamed for my condition even though I explained that I was already taking all of the measures. All in all it felt like a waste of time and money.

Gave me pros and cons of getting colonoscopy and then I decided to get it and lets just say I am forever grateful it was done.

He probably is a good Assistant but he reads your record but doesn't do what the patient suggest that they want done.

Fred considers himself to be just as good or belter than an actual doctor. Will not listen fully to patients and thinks everything he says is gospel. His recommendations went against every issue I have that is being treated by actual specialist physicians. It is clear he does not do his homework and does not care about anything but his own opinion. If he took 2-minutes to read my chart, he would understand that what he is recommending to do will do more harm than good. I am absolutely disgusted with Fred and will not EVER return to him!!! I will be seeking further guidance as to have Fred's qualifications / capabilities be put under review because is was trying to harm me. Him and Huron Gastro should be ashamed for letting this sort of practice continue!!!

Fred was very punctual (minimal waiting). He discussed my symptoms and asked great questions to try and determine the cause of my symptoms. Labs and further studies were ordered for further evaluation. I'd definitely see him again!

He used a lot of jargon and acronyms and assumed that I knew what it meant when I did not. He didn’t explain my diagnosis, what would have caused it, or how I could manage it long-term. He never asked if I had any questions.
