Erin Whaling, MS, PA-C

A board-certified physician assistant, Erin Whaling joined EmergeOrtho-Coastal Region in July of 2026 with a wealth of experience in bone health management, family medicine, and collaborative patient-centered care. She is especially skilled in chronic disease management, acute care, and osteoporosis treatment.

After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Lenoir-Rhyne University, Erin started her career as an athletic trainer. She spent 10 years in the field, amassing extensive musculoskeletal and sports medicine experience, before returning to school at East Carolina University for her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree.

Erin is part of the EmergeOrtho Bone Health team in the Coastal Region, working primarily with Trent Stevens, MD, and as a backup PA with Neil MacIntyre, MD, and Todd Rose, MD.
