Before entering the PA profession, David worked as a paramedic for seven years, gaining hands-on experience in emergency medicine and patient care. His clinical training includes rotations in general surgery, neurosurgery, pain management, and integrative medicine, giving him a broad and well-rounded medical foundation.
David’s approach to patient care is rooted in understanding and honoring each patient’s unique needs and preferences. He is dedicated to prioritizing conservative treatment options when appropriate and believes in caring for the whole person rather than focusing solely on the condition. With a broad background in multiple areas of healthcare, David is committed to providing thorough, patient-centered care throughout the healing process.
He was drawn to the field of neurosurgery because it allows him to be involved in all aspects of care, from initial evaluation and diagnosis to surgery and postoperative recovery. David finds deep satisfaction in guiding patients through their journey and playing a meaningful role in achieving positive outcomes.
Outside the clinic, David enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children. His family loves horseback riding, dirt biking, and hiking together on their property. A fitness enthusiast, David often incorporates home workouts into his routine, often with his kids joining him. He also has a passion for cooking, especially smoking meats and experimenting with sourdough baking.
Now settling into the area, David and his family are excited to make Northern Nevada their permanent home and look forward to becoming part of the community.
