Clay has experience in general orthopedics, but has focused mostly on sports medicine throughout his career. He has received training on the use of ultrasound for examination and guided procedures.
Outside of the office, Clay spends most of his time outside of work with his wife and 5 children. However, if he can steal away to the garage, he enjoys woodworking and building/repairing things.
Clay’s Patient Philosophy
“I believe that care should be the main focus of each patient interaction. I strives to take time to listen to, answer questions from, educate, and develop treatment plans with each patient.”
Mr Shorter was friendly and explained everything he was doing thoroughly. He is easy to understand and showed me what he was looking for.
Excellent teacher and clinician. Thanks Clay!

Great, personalty, never hurts me!
Great experience with Clay.
Answered all my questions and is very professional. A very nice gentleman.
He answered my questions, explained everything clearly and gave me a shot that was quick and painless! Clay is amazing!
He was amazing. I had a shoulder lavage done and I was nervous. Him and his assistant were making jokes and being serious at the same time. Exactly what I needed to not think about it. And I got to watch it done on the ultrasound.
He was friendly, kind and patient. He explained everything.
Clay is the best. Hands down.
