I was very disappointed with my experience today with Anna Dillon. I explained to the her that I had received a shot that provided immediate relief at the clinic earlier in the year. She repeatedly insisted that it could not have happened and continued to deny it, even after I asked her to check my records. She eventually returned with a nurse and the shot, acknowledging that it had been given there once before in the spring. Rather than apologizing, she told me that next time, “if you just want a shot, go to the emergency room.” I was in significant pain and felt that comment was dismissive and judgmental. I wasn’t “just wanting a shot”—I was trying to explain my medical history and get appropriate care. Most importantly, I felt unheard and not taken seriously. Patients deserve to feel that their concerns are being listened to and taken seriously, especially when they are in pain. I hope this experience is taken as an opportunity to improve communication and patient care.

She was very professional. However, 10 days or so later, my leg hurts just as much as when I saw her. Some moments are actually worse!
