Andrea Richards, PA-C

Andrea Richards, PA-C, is a compassionate and dedicated Physician Assistant at Empowered Arthritis and Rheumatology Center. She is deeply committed to delivering patient-centered, culturally responsive care with an emphasis on listening, understanding, and empowering each individual she serves.

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Andrea brings a diverse background and a wealth of clinical experience to her current practice in Cary, NC. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is uniquely equipped to care for a wide range of patients and is a trusted advocate within the Spanish-speaking community.

Andrea began her career in urgent care, where she gained firsthand insight into the complex and often stressful experiences patients face during acute illness. Her journey into rheumatology emerged from a growing recognition of the gaps in care for individuals with chronic rheumatic diseases. Inspired by her deep empathy for these patients, she transitioned into the specialty with a focus on long-term, whole-person care.

At Empowered Arthritis and Rheumatology Center, Andrea works closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that every patient receives timely, individualized care. She believes strongly in treating the person, not just the disease. Her goal is to foster a supportive, educational partnership with each patient—helping them understand their condition and take an active role in managing their health.
