Shannon Bowling is a board-certified orthopaedic clinical specialist. She has a passion for helping patients of all ages with all fitness levels and lifestyles recover from injuries and achieve their goals.
Shannon grew up in Holly Springs, North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate education. She graduated from UNC with her Bachelors degree in Exercise and Sports Science in 2013. Shannon then moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue graduate school, earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Emory University in 2017.
Since graduation, Shannon has been working in an outpatient setting. She has a passion for helping patients of all ages with all fitness levels and lifestyles recover from injuries and achieve their goals. In 2019, she completed a year-long orthopaedic residency program, and she became a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist in 2020. Shannon recently relocated back to North Carolina, and now lives in Raleigh with her husband and their golden retriever.
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys staying active, traveling, reading, spending time with her family and friends, and devotedly cheering on the Tar Heels.
