Matthew (Matt) Kimber, PT, DPT joins the Swift Institute Physical Therapy Department with experience in orthopedic and acute rehab physical therapy. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Sciences at the University of Nevada in Reno. He then furthered his education by earning a Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he earned the honors of Excellence in Clinical Education for his graduating class.

Matt has completed continuing education coursework in many spine and exercise specialties including: International Spinal Cord Society: Physiotherapy Management of Spinal Cord Injuries, Pain Neuroscience Education, Functional Movement Technique (Taping for Performance Certification), and Crossfit Level 1 Trainer. Matt has been certified in Spinal Manual Therapy by the International Spine and Pain Institute.
Matt has contributed to research published by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The research article was titled, Insertion and Presence of Fine‐Wire Intramuscular Electrodes to the Lumbar Paraspinal Muscles Do Not Affect Muscle Performance and Activation During High‐Exertion Spinal Extension Activities.
Matt’s goal is to help Swift Institute patients return to work and recreational activities at their maximum functional capacity in the shortest time possible.
