Matthew Hoffman, PT, DPT, earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Grand Valley State University, and completed his clinical training at the same institution. He then finished his fellowship in orthopedic and sports medicine specialty training at the same institution. A Michigan native, Matt specializes in post-operative care and shoulder rehabilitation, with particular expertise in rotator cuff injuries. He focuses on endurance athletes, utilizing dry needling and kinesiotaping to help runners, cyclists, and mountain athletes return to peak performance and functional strength.

Matthew Hoffman, PT, DPT, is an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist specializing in post-operative and sports medicine rehabilitation, serving patients throughout Summit and Eagle County. A Michigan native, Matt earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University in 2007 and has extensive experience helping active individuals return to the sports and outdoor activities they love.
Matt has particular expertise working with endurance athletes—including cyclists, runners, and mountain athletes—as well as in shoulder rehabilitation and rotator cuff injuries. He commonly treats overuse and performance-related injuries associated with cycling, trail running, skiing, and climbing. Matt enjoys working with athletes of all levels, from recreational mountain athletes to competitive endurance racers.
His approach to care is hands-on and individualized, focusing on restoring strength, mobility, and confidence so patients can return to the mountains safely and perform at their best.
Matt is also certified in dry needling and kinesiotaping and is committed to evidence-based care, staying current with the latest research to deliver the highest quality treatment.
Outside of the clinic, Matt lives on a horse ranch and enjoys mountain and gravel biking, mountaineering, and travel—embracing the same active lifestyle that draws many people to live and play in Summit and Eagle County.
