For his undergraduate studies, Marco relocated to Salisbury, Maryland, where he attended Salisbury University and competed in track at the collegiate level. This is round 2 for my knee replacements. Marco helped me tremendously last year and just starting PT again recently he has been a great help & I look forward to total healing.

Marco Ramirez, PT, was born and raised in Rockville, Maryland, where he competed in football and track during his high school years. Through injuries he sustained playing football, it was in Marco’s sophomore year that he discovered his passion for physical therapy and injury rehabilitation.
For his undergraduate studies, Marco relocated to Salisbury, Maryland, where he attended Salisbury University and competed in track at the collegiate level. Marco completed his studies with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology, graduating in May of 2020 with Honors from Psi Chi, the International Psychology Honor Society.
During his time at Salisbury University, Marco spent the summers working with a Jet Ski and Boat rental company while completing prerequisite courses for Physical Therapy school applications. This is where Marco gained an appreciation for being outdoors and connecting with strangers, all while enjoying a sunny lifestyle.
Upon getting accepted into Elon University’s Physical Therapy program, Marco moved to Burlington, North Carolina, where he pursued his dream of becoming a Physical Therapist. Through his classroom education and clinical experiences, Marco has become proficient in working with people from all types of backgrounds, with a special interest in recreational athletes, runners, and endurance sports. After graduating from Elon in December of 2024, Marco moved to the Durham area.
During his free time, Marco likes to boulder/rock climb, run, lift weights, and play the occasional round of disc golf when the weather is right. Additionally, Marco enjoys spending time with his orange tabby cat, Tigger, as well as checking out local breweries and climbing gyms with his girlfriend, Caleigh.
