Kayla Cutruzzula, PT, DPT is an Arizona native. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and minored in Exercise and Wellness at ASU in 2012. She then spent over 100 hours observing physical therapy clinics in various inpatient and outpatient settings ranging from hospital, skilled nursing facilities, pediatric, and orthopedic locations. Kayla moved to Flagstaff to attend Northern Arizona University to obtain her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Since graduating with a DPT degree in 2017, Kayla has had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patient populations in the outpatient orthopedic and pediatric settings. She has gained extensive experience treating different areas of the body while addressing mental and physiological barriers that can complicate the healing process. Currently, her experience includes treating injuries and facilitating post-operative rehabilitation associated with the shoulder, knee, hip, ankle/foot, elbow, and spine. She continuously strives to encourage movement and recovery while providing a positive and entertaining environment.
During her free time, Kayla enjoys staying busy by maintaining an active lifestyle with activities such as hiking, running, playing sports, and traveling. She also loves to utilize her background in Human Nutrition to experiment with cooking and baking healthy meals and snacks. Kayla has high ambitions to continue to incorporate nutrition counseling with physical therapy services to promote as much progress as possible pertaining to all aspects of health and wellness.

Kayla listens and is knowledgeable in what I’m going through. She really helped me when I was having more pain than necessary in an exercise I was doing and was able to modify the movement and suggest an alternative.
