She provided a different type of PT . Having multiple therapists is a great idea, then you get different opinions of rehabilitation. This could provide a better, well-rounded experience.

Awesome to work with and able to answer all of my questions. Helped with my recovery plan how and why need to do what I need to do.

Erica received her Master's in Physical Therapy from University of Nebraska Medical Center, her Master's in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of South Dakota. Erica also has an advanced certification in Woman's Health Physical Therapy from Texas Woman's University.
Erica worked in the rural setting for 8 years prior to joining Prairie Orthopaedic & Plastic Surgery. There she treated a wide variety of clientele including out-patient orthopaedics, in-patient acute care, nursing home, and home health patients. However, her primary emphasize and the majority of her caseload was always out-patient orthopaedic patients.
In 2006 Erica joined the Prairie family to allow her to follow her interests of pursuing full time orthopaedic physical therapy with an emphasize in upper extremity rehabilitation. To that end, she has completed several advanced orthopaedic courses focusing on difficult shoulder and hand problems. Erica works closely with our physicians to ensure that each patient is treated with a custom approach designed for their type of surgery or injury. All treatments are tailored to the individual's unique needs while taking into consideration their pain, work requirements, and home environment.
In 2010, Erica earned the designation of Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist. In addition, in 2016 she became Board Certified in Hand Therapy as well. These advanced certifications are a testament to the level of knowledge patients should expect from the Prairie staff.
Erica currently resides in Springfield, Nebraska with her husband and two boys. In her free time Erica enjoys gardening, genealogy, and watching her children's sports activities.
