Austin Beard received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2015 from Campbell University where he majored in Kinesiology. At Campbell, Austin played baseball for the Fighting Camels for four years. After finishing his undergraduate studies, Austin remained at Campbell for his physical therapy training, where he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2018. Since graduation, Austin has practiced as a traveling physical therapist, completing assignments in outpatient and acute care settings in Mississippi, Wisconsin, and North Carolina.
Austin has completed continuing education in persistent pain management through the Institute of Clinical Excellence. He has a passion for treating fitness minded and active individuals, in addition to athletic populations and patients with general musculoskeletal pain.
Now living in Raleigh, Austin enjoys CrossFit, biking, and hiking, returning to the North Carolina mountains where he grew up as often as he can.

Austin was very knowledgeable in his field. He actively listened to my son as he described the history of his sports injuries. He also give great feedback to explain what has been happening in the process of running through pain, and short term recovery as the balance needed for rest, active recovery,strengthening and healing.He also mapped out a plan to recover from his past injuries. He is a wonderful physical therapist and person as well. His exercises are well thought out and applicable to the stage of my recovery for both my shoulder and my knee and he has helped me improved quite a bit.
