Dr. Shelley Kim, O.D., joined Metro Eye in January 2026, bringing over 20 years of experience in primary eye care, NeuroVisual training, and vision therapy. Before joining the practice, she owned and operated her own private practice in Illinois for more than two decades and later relocated to Wisconsin to be closer to family. Dr. Kim has remained committed to private practice and found Metro Eye to be a natural fit to continue building on her foundation of patient-centered, comprehensive eye care.
Dr. Kim has a special interest in how the eyes and brain integrate with physical health to enhance visual clarity, comfort, and overall well-being. She focuses on patients whose needs extend beyond a standard glasses prescription, emphasizing how the visual system supports clear, comfortable, and efficient vision to optimize performance and productivity at work, school, and in athletics for both children and adults.
