Her persona vibes
Off as being snobby. Very dry…. Seemed more concerned with setting additional appointments rather then helping with the issue I came in for. Problem not solved
Aug-2025
The doctor came into the room and never looked at me, the patient, to greet me. Just went straight to the computer and started typing and reading while talking with her back to me. My daughter explained that I am hard of hearing and read lips, but she did not change her position to communicate with me. Then, she proceeded with a short exam and referred me to a Retina specialist without explaining or giving me any options.
I am 93 and may not go for surgery for one eye. I just needed a new prescription for my good eye so that I can read books, since there is not much else I can do.
When my daughter questioned about a new prescription, the doctor said that she would not give me a prescription until after I had been to a retina specialist because the prescription might change.
But, that decision was made without any discussion with me and then she left the room.
It was the coldest, most dehumanizing experience!
