Dr. Villegas has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego, and a Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University. He completed a residency in geriatrics/primary care at the West Los Angeles VA Healthcare Center. He is the residency coordinator for Azul Vision's ocular disease residency program affiliated with Marshall B. Ketchum University, where he is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Optometry. Dr. Villegas is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and board certified by the American Board of Certification in Medical Optometry.
