Dr. Ballew did a completely, thorough exam on my eyes. Since, I have been on steroids for over 20 years, I had some concerns, Dr. Ballew addressed all my questions, and answered them honestly showing me my eye.
I felt cared for, and the pace of the exam was as it needed to be. I will not be seen by anyone else at Eye associates of New Mexico. Dr. Ballew is simply the best I have ever had the pleasure of Seeing.

Dr Ballew is THE MOST thorough eye doctor I have ever had. She carefully looks at all tests, past history, possible future developments, in trying to get ahead of problems and keep eyes healthy. I would highly recommend her to anyone concerned about eye health.

I had to Google conditions that were on my visit summary because I was not even told about them when speaking with the doctor. I was told that I was "doing a good job" treating my issues myself... and to continue what I was doing. I would not have gone in if what I was doing was "working" and the pain was not significant. (I have underlying medical issues that can cause permanent vision loss) When I voiced concerns about rapid change in my vision, I was basically told that I am just old. Everything that was in my medical history was ignored. I felt completely dismissed and disregarded as a human. I wasted my time and money and left this appointment feeling worse.

Thorough exams, ordered lab tests, proactive treatment.
She helped to relax, and stay calm.
